"Les 70 Ans du Bikini"

From 9th to 24th July 2016, Mode City organizes the exhibition “Les 70 ans du Bikini” that covers the bikini history. Visitors will learn about the now iconic French invention’s beginning and worldwide development.
The exhibit is in collaboration with Ghislaine Rayer and Patrice Gaulupeau, experts and collectors who will share the famous pieces from their “Nuits de Satin” private collection to trace the swimsuit’s evolution.

In the context of the COP 21, the association Ars Anima, with the support of l’Agence Française de Développement, French Development Agency, invites you to visit Born somewhere else, an exhibition-performance like no other. Make a dive into the heart of sustainable development and climate issues while walking in the shoes of Manolo, Nana, Ihoa or one of the 21 characters. Travel through seven ecosystems of the world, from the rice elds of Cambodia, to the Colombian hills or the Polynesian atolls. Discover and experience solutions in interactive settings while being in contact with actors. Because changing the world is a collective adventure of which we are all heroes.

In 2013, the international exhibition, directed by Gunnar B. Kvaran, introduced 77 artworks of artists from 21 countries and is entitled « Entretemps…Brusquement, Et ensuite »
The 2013’s Lyon Biennial, gathered and introduced artists from all over the world who work in the narrative domains and experiment, throught their work, the narratives’ procedures and mechanisms.

Chiharu Shiota has conceived a project using the identity and the architecture of the building, exploiting ceiling and pillars as an immersive structure.
Sixteen white dresses were suspended from the ceiling, between the pillars into the whole space.
